Circolo Italiano Harare was founded in the 1960's as a place for the Italian, Zimbabwe and wider community to come together to learn and celebrate the Italian culture whilst in Zimbabwe. The original club was based in Strathaven, Harare and hosted many events and activities such as ballroom dancing, soccer clubs, bowling tournaments, private functions and cultural programmes.
In 2019, Circolo Italiano relocated to our stunning site in Chisipite where we now have top eateries such as Fishmongers, Bistro Veldemeers and Puttery Barn. We also have top-class facilities for astroturf, soccer, hockey and pickleball, as well as a Function Suite and a private lounge for our members.
In association with Dante Aleghieri, we host many Italian cultural events to the public such as Italian movie evenings, Italian music events, Italian food and drink appreciation and much more to ensure the Italian culture is available to all the community of Zimbabwe to learn and appreciate. Circolo Italiano is a registered trust and run by a dedicated committee team along with management and staff. We have a dedicated group of members that support the club and enjoy many benefits.
